Sorry GCG, my Indian hubby had things thrown at him, was tailed by government folks, and threatened by local yokals afte 9-11. It was worse in the Sikh community and Moslem community. It was better when he was mistaken for black, but that's not saying much. We never assume that folks can tell the difference-sad, but that has been our experience. We try to educate, but sometimes, I worry if he will come home in one piece-and he is with the University Police Department.
