4. In Overland Park, KS

it's about 30 degrees, feels like 19 (according to local weather) and we have freezing rain. The tree branches are coated with about an eighth of an inch of ice right now. Not sure if it will turn into a classic as we've had in years past, with some people without power for as long as a week. I canceled a hair appointment -- figure I can live with grey roots another couple of days -- and husband came home early from work. Schools, churches, and the like are all canceling evening activities.
