4. 1st- a DU post will say Jews should be happy as 2nd class citizens in a Muslim country -Palestine
The just as Baghdad was "cleansed" of the 40% plus of the population that was Jewish, the new government will offer, like Iraq did in the 60's, to let them live if they leave now while leaving all claims to any land or possessions. As I recall the US said nothing - did not object - to Iraq back in the 60's - but then we had an oil man from Texas in the Whitehouse back then to the point the Israeli's didn't even trust our "listening" sub in 67.

Then we will have posts telling us that Muslim countries treated Jews better than Western Europe did in the Middle-ages - why this is important I do not know.

I hope we don't offer Israel up as a sacrificial lamb to the Arab Middle East - and I don't believe we will.

But John Dingell is a great man with a blind spot - for him an Iran financed and armed terrorist group that has attacked US interests in various parts of the world can not be called evil in the context of terror attacks on Israel - sad. The Detroit television interview this summer "I don't take sides for or against Hezbollah; I don't take sides for or against Israel." equates heavy handed occupation policy that is indeed very offensive with terrorist killing that is condemnable. There is a large Muslim community in his district, but it is Dingell's decision to respond to them in this way.
