3. Made sense tactically, but not politically.
Most law-abiding-- grumbling aside-- like the police.

Even the Michigan Militia probably likes the police, because they probably see them as keeping the dark people from stealing their stuff (when they're not home to personally guard it with their guns).

Within their own, twisted diegesis it would have made more "sense" to attack a non-chrisTian group, a Liberal group, or a Federal agency.

Killing cops wouldn't have won them any friends, or struck a blow against the forces of The Antichrist, which they would have known if they'd spent any time at all playing Left Behind: Eternal Forces.
