6. Every few months I used to put up an OP asking people to summarize
videos for us deafies and others who can't watch vids, for whatever reason. My threads would get 150-200 recs, because so many people agree with that point, but it never actually makes an impact. Most DUers still post videos with no information for those of us who can't watch them

I get it, though. As a hearing-impaired person, I am used to being left out of group conversations, even within my own family and among work colleagues, and even when I ask right then and there for people to speak up a bit and let me see their lips when they speak.

I don't bother with starting threads on the topic any more. Its too tiring and frustrating. I don't even click most vid links any more. I click only those that I really think I want to know about, and then when I don't find a sumary, I ask for one. If I am in a bad mood, though, I will sometimes unrec if there is no sumamry, but I always leave a note saying why I have unrecced if I have done so, in hopes that it might impact the poster's future behavior.
