Jena Bush On Why She Is Not In Iraq
Advertisements [?]
Jena Bush did the 10 questions thing with Time Magazine and someone asked her why she was not in Iraq. At first she gave the typical Republican answer; My talents are better suited for doing things like representing America in Latin America. Then she went on to say that it was not even "practical" for her to be in Iraq. I guess I am just one of those people who just cannot figure that one out. Can someone tell me how/why it is not practical for Jena Bush or her sister to be in Iraq? The full question and her full quote are listed below.

If the war in Iraq is so noble, why aren't you and your sister serving our country there? —Donald Pence, San Francisco
"I understand that point, but there are many ways to serve our country, and I think my skills are better suited for teaching and representing the U.S. in Latin America through UNICEF. I respect the men and women of our country who are over there fighting. It is an unbelievably selfless thing to do. But if people really thought about it, they would know it's not even a practical question."
