Usually take part in it for family, but if I could get out of it I would... I don't interfere with others enjoyment of it though. I figure whatever floats their boats. In other words, I try not to rant on and on about how I would rather be doing other things, or bringing up political discussions about the history surrounding the holiday every chance I get...

Which isn't to say I'm against that, because I am and I think it's important, I just get annoyed when its done more out of spite than for actual discussion... Which is not relevant to my initial response, but I think relevant to this thread as a whole... Which I was going to make post directly in response to the original, but I decided to go the other route... I should go to sleep now.
