Job Losses: Comparing Recessions
Advertisements [?]

The current contraction is far far worse than the prior downturns: 3.6 million — and counting — job losses as of yesterday is worse than the 2.7 million jobs lost in the 2001 recession, and far worse than the 1.6 million job losses in the 1990-1991 recession. 2.09.09

One thing worth noticing:
All recessions except 1 were started under Republican Administrations

1948 - 49 Recession (Truman, Democrat)
1953 - 54 Recession (Eisenhower, Republican)
1958 Recession (Eisenhower, Republican)
1960 Recession (Eisenhower, Republican)
1974 Recession (Nixon, Republican)
1982 Recession (Reagan, Republican)
1991 Recession (Bush 41, Republican)
2001 Recession (Bush 43, Republican)
2008 (Current Recession) (Bush 43, Republican)

If this doesn't explain Republican policies, then you need to get you head out of your a$$!
