How would you like living like the * Administration was sharing your house?

This is a true story.

I know someone who inherited her parents' home. Her husband is an electrician and pathologically greedy. He would nothing more than to get a hold of her inheritance. So since he has access to this house, he installed surveillance cameras and microphones all over the house. And it's just her and her brother who use the house, and occasional piano student.

Her brother discovered the equipment. He doesn't know what his sister will do when she finds out about this, whether she will demand it be unhooked, have it disconnected and removed herself, get a divorce, etc. -- or leave it in place as she is afraid of her husband (that's another story for another day).

So in the meantime, all conversations in any room of the house are being recorded and/or accessible by computer and that includes telephone conversations and any visitors. This is blatant, illegal wiretapping.

Aside from the obvious "how dare he?!", it's part of how far people think that they can get away with in the new political and social standards established.

I'm seething and it doesn't involve me. I just hate the idea of this.
