The reasons are always lame to someone that does not experience discrimination, but simply likes to argue with those that do and have. There are gay people on this thread that agree with the number. Care to refute their life experiences? I don't expect so. And I have come to not expect understanding from members of the majority that are either actively or blindly complicit in the subjugation of minorities. I am not saying it isn't there. I'm just very surprised when I see it.
