8. When I first moved to Canada I was blown away by
their election schedule.

Being an iggorant Murkin at that time, I had no idea that you could have an election campaign season that lasted only six weeks, with election signs to be removed the day after or mongo fines imposed. And to have campaigns where the public got pissed off at attack commercials instead of sucking 'em back like cheap martinis. I thought elections just lasted forever everywhere.

Ah, it was blissful relief from the Murkin permalection system. I think of it wistfully and often.
