32. It boogles my mind too
I don't know why it should bother anyone. I really don't.

My husband and I were married five years ago (this Friday). I was the one who was holding out. My husband called a gay couple we know and had them talk me into it. They talked about the advantages to getting married like having a say in his medical care to lowered car insurance for married couples. So, I like to tell people that the only reason I got married was because a gay couple talked me into it. In return, I've become a more vocal advocate for gay marriage and GLBT rights. I had been advocate before but since I got married I've become more active in lobbying for it for everyone.

And, for what's it worth, my marriage is doing just fine. My husband and I haven't talked about divorce once since the California courts made their ruling. I also haven't seen any man-dog sex and I haven't heard of a single incident of the sky falling.

Nor, unfortunately, have GOP heads exploded. I was kind of looking forward to this last one.
