I think you are exactly right. The insurer would have covered the pregnancy and delivery for the daughter, but once she went off the family coverage in a few years, I think the child would also lose eligibility. I suppose Sarah and Todd could have acknowledged that it was their grandchild and adopted him to retain his insurance eligibility. But, if these rumors are even true about the parentage of the baby, they did not choose that option
