not from DU but from studying Constitutional Law. I take this break to post a small rant, a rant that may not be too popular with some. I had stopped watching pro sports a number of years ago, I discovered college football and Woman's Basketball. Tonight I decided to put on the game and maybe catch a funny commercial or two, not that many Americans can buy the stuff they are selling. I kept hearing the "Kurt Warner" story, the guy who rose from stock boy to Superbowl quarterback. Who is this superhero I thought, this Cinderella boy? I did some Google.

"Both Kurt and his wife are active born-again Christians. On October 24, 2006, he was featured in a political advertisement opposing a bill supporting embryonic stem cell research in Missouri. The advertisement was in response to a pro-embryonic research ad featuring Michael J. Fox. He appeared in the advertisement with James Caviezel, Patricia Heaton, Jeff Suppan, and Mike Sweeney. The advertisement aired during Game 4 of the 2006 World Series."

How Christian is it to speak out against something that can save lives? How Christian is it to to do a commercial opposing Michael Fox and all of the human beings around the world that can use some science? How against stem cell research would the Warner's be if such a disease or injury struck close to home? Would they be born again, again?

I love supporting the underdog. Not tonight. I know he is one man, a member of a team but I cannot hope for any good will towards him. My team wants what is best for the people of the world, my team believes science can save lives. Warner and his wife are not on my team.

End rant. Now about those Lady Cougs? We won!!!!!!! One of my shots from Saturday's game:
