Yeah... they're inconsiderate, selfish assholes for infringing on the rights of others whom even may or may not share their grievance, and choose not to become caught up in their protest.

I'm all in favor of the right to seek protest/"petition the Government for a redress of grievances", the right to peaceably assemble, and the right to free speech, but the limit to those rights end when the protesters selfishly have no respect for the rights of others.

"People have errands to run, and the straights have plenty of affairs to tend to"

Yes... because we all know that it's inconceivable that any gay people that day would feel inconvenienced or upset that a screaming mob felt it necessary to their cause to impede/block traffic without consideration for the rights of others.
