91. Did you have a chance to check out Portland?
Edited on Mon Sep-14-09 05:15 PM by fujiyama
I was a bit disappointed (in terms of the beer) in the quick trip I took to Seattle. Portland is definitely better. What I liked best in Portland was almost every bar had their own IPA or Stout on tap.

MI has a lot of great brews and Bells and Great Lakes are among the best out there, but it pisses me off that many bars out here don't carry them. It's almost always the usual macro-crap. I'm lucky if I even find a bar that has an IPA on tap. The state needs to do a better job encouraging places to sell the craft beers brewed here in this state. They're really good and I don't think they're getting the marketing and exposure they should be. The brew-fest in Ypsilanti was a lot of fun and showcased many of them. I agree that many could compete with the stuff in the PNW.
