job; it doesn't offer any benefits. We've been looking into individual coverage but it's nearly impossible to find, given our ages (mid-40's-mid-50's), never mind that we're both in good health, have no major health issues and have never had a serious illness, or cancer, heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, none of that. And any policies we do find that might do us the honor of giving us a tiny sliver of consideration would cost over a thousand a month, which we couldn't afford, with astronomical deductibles before they'd pay a fucking dime. And just having insurance is no guarantee that we'd get needed care, either. We're okay right now, and are doing our best to remain in good health, but if one of us gets sick or injured before we have something, we are SCREWED.
