197. I'm still insured, but I am considering dropping it
especially after I figured out how much I have paid in premiums since moving here in 2003--for NO benefits.

I would be better off paying out of pocket and getting actual care than shelling out hundreds of dollars a month for NOTHING.

Next summer I hit a major birthday, when even this year's charts say that my $5000 deductible policy will become unaffordable.

I refuse to raise my deductible to $10,000. That would bankrupt me. If I'm going bankrupt (and it's not that bad---I had to do it during the 1990s when I lost a customer who had been providing half my income) I want to do it without having paid hundreds of dollars per month to the bloodsuckers.

In my dream world, everyone would drop their insurance and just let the system collapse so that America would be forced to come up with a more rational and humane system.
