he asked her how she could make that claim - the reason the stock are going up is because investors believe the insurers are bound to increase profits based on the HCR bill.

She could not address it - kept with the talking points. "We are transitioning to a consumer-based system". But could not explain why.

She deserved to challenged. She was nothing but sound-bytes - no substance to her rhetoric.

I like her - I like her a lot being from Florida - but she deserved that lashing.


He also put up a slide with 4 states where a single insurer holds ridiculous % of policies (NO competition) - like 89% in one case. He asked how the bill could claim to be consumer-driven when it will simply force more to those insurers where there is currently no competition. She could not address that very valid point.

Again - she deserved her treatment.
