27. Nope. I think that the extension was a decently smart thing to do.
From a political calculation point at least. In 2012 he can emphasize it less on the campaign trail, so if they expire it won't be as big of a deal. I remember canvassing in Wisconsin in 2008 and I talked to a lot of independents whose support was pretty much conditioned on taxes. I have a pretty pessimistic view of American's ability to sacrifice for the common, long-term good.
