The UN SC was designed to allow the big powers to maintain their global interest.

The fact that all the Big countries that were not part of the Coalition ABSTAINED - GERMANY, BRAZIL, INDIA, RUSSIA, CHINA -- shows shocking lack of support for the action. Usually there are many UNANIMOUS VOTES on UN SC issues before any enforcement action is taken.
