TV is a one-to-many corporate-owned sales system. ...but I like your optimism.

In the 1960s the media covered some anti-war protests because they thought they could make the protesters look bad. The term "hippie" was meant very negatively and dismissively. They portrayed anti-war people much like Gaddafi portrays his opposition -- drug crazed, un-Patriotic, foolish. And those who played to the image the media was interested in creating got airtime -- Abbie Hoffman, etc. Hoffman played them like a fiddle and they are smarter now. But if the MSM thinks they can make us look bad then they will cover our protests IMHO. (CBS calls Palin 'brave' bc of the counter protest for example)
