Andrew Breitbart: Glenn Beck ‘Threw Me Under the Bus’
Advertisements [?]
According to conservative pundit and website guru Andrew Breitbart, he and Fox News' Glenn Beck teamed up to edit remarks that USDA official Shirley Sherrod made before the NAACP and rebroadcast them in a more racially charged light. After Beck indignantly played the edited version on his radio program and attacked Sherrod, he made a big show of not going after her on his Fox News show later that same day. Soon thereafter, he went on the offensive, blaming Breitbart for the trumped-up controversy and demanding an apology. (Beck has done a good job of washing his hands of the issue, but Media Matters has the evidence.)

"Next thing I know, I'm under complete attack without the support of Glenn Beck, who I thought was somebody I could count on," Breitbart told the Observer. "He threw me under the bus." Breitbart even implied in the Observer interview that he may be involved in a lawsuit over the issue, although that's unclear. Either way, Glenn, this is not a guy you want to piss off as you launch into the newest phase of your career. He may not have the hugest audience in the world — but if you were to draw a Venn Diagram of the people who listen to him and the people who listen to you, there'd be an awful lot of overlap.
