6. I wondered at the onset of this crisis why the UN wasn't on the ground at
Fukishima directly involved with the reactors given the global implications that were clear from the start so I agree with you.

However in regard to Plutonium in the US, would not universities and environmental groups have equipment to take these measurements? And given the info you provided, why hasn't that raised a hue and cry? My frustration is that as a layperson I have no idea how to interprete scientic data so I rely on trusted sources such as the Union of Concerned Scientists to so. The fact that they haven't makes me pause.
