Liberals fight for everyone. We fight for the 100%. Not the 1%, not the 57%, not even the 99%, but
for 100% of us. Whether you're a homeless war veteran, an unemployed single mother or a Wall Street hedge fund manager, we will defend to the death your right not to be molested by the TSA at an airport, the right to marry whomever you want and the right to live a clean, safe, dignified life.

However, we are beaten, shouted down, vilified and otherwise loathed for this by self-styled conservatives, people foundering in the same icy ocean as the rest of us yet vilify those who choose to throw them a life preserver because it is in our nature.

We fight for everyone's right to free speech, freedom of peaceful assembly, freedom of the press, freedom to petition and the freedom to worship any religion, if any, that they see fit without fear of recrimination and reprisal.

We are not, however, bound by legal or moral compact to politely stand silent and pretend ignorance, racism and baseless bias is a legitimate opposing point of view. It is the moral and intellectual imperative of every liberal to shout down hatred, bigotry and ignorance and to lampoon, satirize and even vilify everyone who seeks to subtract from the store of human knowledge and to subvert rational thought. Everyone has the right to their opinion, as Sen. Moynihan once said, but you do not have the right to your own facts.http://welcomebacktopottersville.blogspot.com/2011/11/we-are-100-liberal-manifesto.html

4. No we are not fighting for everyone. I could care less about the average teabagger.

He could stave to death on a street corner for all I care.

What I do want is that majority of the country - the one, I hope is there, that percentage of reasonable, SANE, Americans out there, regain having a fighting chance to attain their dreams.

I would frankly consign all Teabaggers to their own Ayn Randian Hellhole. A place where they can vote each week to see who gets eaten.

5. The day most liberals are willing to fight until lunch, much less to
the death, for marriage equality is the day the world spins backwards. I am so sick of hearing this co-opting bullshit. Fight to the death? And nominate those who utterly oppose those rights and say God tells them to oppose those rights? Really?
The way straight folks need to put unearned feathers in their progressive caps is disgusting. Most liberals are just fine voting for religious dogma shouters, they defend McClurkin, Warren, they call gay people pony wanters, say to object to open slanders is 'poutrage'.
Y'all need to earn that feather you want in your cap. At this point, all of the leadership opposes equal rights, and thus you need to stop claiming you'd all fight to the death for us, when the fact is you will not so much as raise an objection to our oppression, and you all gladly vote for those who favor inequality and claim God agrees with them.
Get a new routine. OWS stands with me, the DNC does not. It is that simple. DNC just hired another hate monger this past week. They stand with the hate preachers, not with us.

7. I am sick of their cake and eat it too ways
One day they shout about the Sanctity of Marriage, pass Prop 8, hire a couple of hate preachers to slander us, the next day they want praise for fighting for us. Works my last nerve. They need to pick a side and stay on it. Sure, Republicans are worse, but worse does not make the others good, it means they are bad and the GOP is worse.
