1. Add Missouri & Colorado
But the fact that North Carolina and Virginia were in play even before the Edwards nomination is amazing, ground-shifting news.

2. florida
no way jeb! is going to let that go blue. machines, intimidation, f*cked up "felon" lists...it's a science down there, how to make sure real voting doesn't take place.

21. Missouri

The most recent poll I can find for Missouri has Kerry up by 3 points. I'd call that at least a snowball's chance.

3. Colorado appears to be in play this year....... you're right to leave it
off your list.

Maybe that's why kerry will be here this week?

4. That and he was born in CO.
He wants to win the state. I have also found a good network of people for Kerry in the Denver area. They all live north of me though.

12. That would be nice to see CO go the way of Kerry/Edwards...however
...whenever I hear your Gov and Senators speak on some issues, and then hear about all the NRA supporting Colorado folks, I wonder what the chances are...

On the other hand, everyone I know in CO can't stand Bu$h, so maybe there is hope?

16. Do not, repeat, Do Not, listen to our Gov and Senators.......
It's gaaarrrannteeed to ruin, I mean RUIN, your appetite.

:hi:

I think CO is really a mixed bag, to use that funky hippie term....... and a toss-up at this point.

Since I don't really trust polls, who knows........?

Kanary, who would really like to deny any connection to so-called gov and senators.... wretch....

however, the man in my sig is a beacon of light......

17. Well, how about "Girlie-Man" Ahnuld the Governor? Don't listen to him
...either....what an embaressment....scary is more like it...sexist a-hole...can't wait to hear what Arianna Huffington shreds him on that one....

Yeah, Colorado is a mixed bag...my husband lived there for about 9 years and has lots of friends there in Boulder and Vail.

Re. polls - i don't trust them one bit...they are controlled by the same people that control the media and most of the questions are phrased in such a way where they get the answer they want....

Wow...wouldn't that be great if your man in your sig could win? I'll add him to my donate list....This Nov. election is not just about the Presidency, it's also about taking back the Senate and Congress....and thus protecting our laws and Constitution....

20. Ahnuld, Gropenator, meet Gov Billy "Girlie Boy" Owens.... ~~ROTFLOLASTC~~
Don't know if you've seen Owens, but if anybody fits that "Girlie Boy" picture, it's Owens... However, since he busted up his marriage by being caught in flagrante dilicto with the babysitter, I guess it isn't completely accurate....

"Wow...wouldn't that be great if your man in your sig could win? I'll add him to my donate list..."
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
You really made my day....... thank you sooo much!
Mike is one of those rare politicians who comes along once in a generation...... we're soooo lucky to have him!

Yet, we hear the same, tired ole crap "Mike's stands on the issues match mine, but he's not electable...."

So, we'll hear the same old crap about how our Dems don't have a spine..... Sometimes I think people WANT to shoot themselves in the foot! Here's your chance, folks, to have a REAL DEM represent you....... don't blow this one.....

If you know anyone who would like to come to Colorado and help us get the word out about Mike before the August primary, we would be eternally grateful!

And, yes, having Mike in the Senate would be a HUGE boost to changing this danged country around! Savvy and integrity, in one package..... imagine that.

The bright side is the REpukes are destroying each other in TV ads......... it's good for some comic relief...... :)

I extend my sympathies on your gov.......... kinda makes you want to cringe, eh? Whadda farce......

5. South Carolina is tough I agree...
But Edwards is very popular there, remember that was the state that he won in the primaries. I would say that it might come into play...

8. The person below me is talking about Ohio...
Edited on Wed Jul-21-04 01:22 AM by physioex
And I can agree with that, but if you could win NC then there is probably a 90% chance of becoming President (in my humble opinion)...

10. Diebold is Committed to Deliver the Electoral Votes of Ohio to Bush*
and they will swing as many as they can his way. If the actual vote
is close, that will certainly be enough to give it to *.

If Bush* can't steal it, the Ohio Legislature could award Ohio to Bush*
just like the Florida legislature was all set to do in Florida in 2000
(and will do this year if they have to).

We need to be able to win without Florida and Ohio.

We need to give truevotemd.org all the help they can get, or theie new voting machinez
will steal Maryland's electoral votes from us as well.

14. I'm originally from Maryland...its mostly democratic, I can't believe that
...people in Maryland aren't up in arms about their voting machines...

I wonder if Bev and folks are working it hard there....Any updates on whether the Sec. of State of MD will follow CA and OH's lead?

13. That's why Michael Moore is spending the entire month of October in OH
...and plans to campaign hard there for Kerry/Edwards...I'm going to Oregon and Florida in October to stay with the In-laws and my Mom respectively to work for the Kerry/Edwards campaign...I want to celebrate Kerry/Edwards winning in Florida...

But I agree...Ohio....maybe North Carolina too...and they win....

15. If the American electorate informed itself
We would have a chance in *every* state. Assuming the Dems go after the polling booths and Diabolical Diebold machines *big time* before the election.

Look, we're up against crooks, thieves, and criminals who are determined to (1) brainwash its citizenry through its corporate-friendly media monopolies, and (2) pull every cheap trick in the book to fix the numbers and steal the election.

Face it: this is civil war. We have an unprecedented assault on democracy, our institutions, and the Constitution itself by these neocon rethugs. Win the war at every level of battle, and we'll win the election in a landslide. Lose any critical issie (especially the Diebold thing) and our country will be stolen from us once again.

We've had four years to learn our lessons and it's been a painfully slow learning and accomplishment record. If we had 100 million Howard Deans out their doing the gutsy hard work to inform the dumbed-down populace and do all necessary to gurarantee a fair election, Kerry/Edward would sweep ever state in November.

Anything less is worse than pessimism - it's capitulation to evil.

18. Not a shot in hell in the following states:
Alabama
Alaska
Georgia
Idaho
Indiana
Kansas
Mississippi
Montana
Nebraska
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Carolina
South Dakota
Texas
Utah
Wyoming

If Kerry starts winning those states, he's in for a landslide.

Better chances in these states:

Arizona
Colorado
Kentucky
Louisiana
North Carolina
Virginia
West Virginia

Those states could go to Kerry, but they're more likely to go to Bush.

Possible wins for Kerry:

Arkansas
Florida
Missouri
Nevada
Ohio
Tennessee

The chances in those states are practically 50/50.

Likely wins for Kerry:

Iowa
Maine
Michigan
Minnesota
New Hampshire
New Mexico
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Washington
Wisconsin

Kerry will probably win those states, but it might be close.

Almost definite wins for Kerry:

California
Connecticut
Delaware
District of Columbia
Hawaii
Illinois
Maryland
Massachusetts
New Jersey
New York
Rhode Island
Vermont

If Kerry starts to lose those states, he's in trouble.

Of course, I could be absolutely wrong. I always worry these predictions will come back to bite me on the ass.

19. Well, I know they don't have a chance in my state
of Georgia. It is so Republican, it's sickening. When I was checking out the candidates running for office in my county, there was not one Democrat. So I didn't vote for any of them. There is no way I will give my vote to a Republican.

23. I figure that we should have a good idea of the outcome early.
If Florida goes for Kerry, he wins.

If Florida doesn't but Ohio does, he wins.

Without either of them it's hard to see how he can pull it out.
