First he hired Fox News' Monica Crowley, next he may hire Rita Cosby.

She was fired for being overweight and getting old. She's a NEWSREADER, a gossipist, at best, not a reporter.

Did Jerry RIVERA get Rita whacked? When he joined Faux and made the rounds of all the Faux circuses, kissing the Faux anchors' butts, begging to be accepted by them, O'LOOFAH asked him, "What to you bring to Faux that we don't already have?"

It was actually a good question since COSBY was gangbusters in handling what might have been Jerry's niche---but doing it more efficiently and accurately----interviewing Bad Boys or their families or their neighbors, anybody CLOSE to the Bad Boys. She was pen-pals with McVEIGH and David BERKOWITZ, telephone-interviewed MILOSEVIC, clearly wanted to "do" PETERSON and CONDIT if she could have gotten to them, walked the trash dump where the spouse-murdered wife was, and much more. And she did it by showing SYMPATHY for the Bad Boys, preying on their "good" side, mining the vein of RELIGIOUS COMPASSION.

Many times Rita and Jerry were covering the same stories, but Rita always edged him out in getting exclusives with WHOMEVER, neighbors, whomever. One time, the strain was clearly showing on Jerry. The two of them were promo-ing their back-to-back shows, on the same topic, on an earlier show. The host asked her what she had first, and she had the edge. Jerry was clearly pissed and scowled, staring straight ahead. The tension was thick. Rita actually reached over and touched Jerry's knee with her trademark "compassion".

Will she come into the LIGHT? Red Rover, Red Rover, Let---RITA!---come over! I'd scrimp to buy her tell-all on Faux.

I agree that we tend to use the term indiscriminately. Back when on the late, great Media Whores Online, where the term gained currency, I suggested that we be more precise: Actual, known Wingnuts in the media are NOT whores--they are being true to themselves, their sincere ideology. The real whores are the ones who claim to be objective journalists, but who slant their stuff, or else who sway this way or that according to what they perceive the trend to be.

The true Wingnuts are the "johns" not the whores. I sure wish we had somebody on our team willing to let it rip. The closest we've got are namby-pambies who go up to the cliff then say, "Oh, but Nancy RAYGUN and Pickles are SUPER people. Dems in the '80s were WRONG to criticize Nancy. And Shrub is a NICE, LIKEABLE guy, personally." (BEGALA)

Back when he was respectable on a real network, ABC, he was "out" as a wingnut, would sneer and sarcast(!) his way through his reportage on whatever the Dems were saying. But he might be whore on one topic--his Gay son who committed suicide after an affair with U.S. Representative (Bill?) PAXTON, Susan MOLINARI's ex. Brit just drips coldness. When he participates in one of Poppy BUSH's parachute jumps, he quietly trails behind, the picture of a loyal courtier.
