Surprise! Another Republican "safe" seat can be ours!

Subject: PDA ENDORSED CANDIDATE JEENI CRISCENZO NEEDS OUR HELP!

Imagine this: It’s Election Night and there’s an astonishing news report about California’s 49th Congressional District, where Jeeni Criscenzo, an outspoken progressive Democrat, has taken the lead in a Republican district.

Imagine a representative in Congress who has been working against the occupation of Iraq since before the invasion; someone who joined a recent peace delegation to meet with Iraqi officials in Jordan so she could say with complete confidence that nothing good can come from being in Iraq one more day.

Imagine having a champion of the people, pushing for universal health insurance, a fair minimum wage, affordable housing, keeping jobs in America; someone who has walked the picket lines with teachers and nurses and working families.

Imagine electing Jeeni Criscenzo to fight for our fragile environment; a representative who uses public transportation all the time; who practices voluntary simplicity so the only footprint she’ll leave on the planet is her commitment to leave it a better place.

Imagine what it would mean if a candidate was beholden to no one except her constituents, not even the old guard in the Democratic Party.

What would it take for this to happen? A combination of hard work, determination, creativity, a little luck and YOU! That’s right, you are essential to making this dream come true. Your contribution will help put those last minute radio ads on the air, those extra yard signs on the street, those handouts in the voters’ hands.

Right now, go to www.JeeniForCongress.com.

Everything else is in place. Jeeni and her volunteers have been working tirelessly for the past eighteen months. A lot has changed in those eighteen months, hasn't it? Even local Republicans are fed up, have pledged to vote for Jeeni and are volunteering to work with her campaign. Meanwhile Republican incumbent Rep. Darrell Issa, (awarded a "zero" rating for three years by the Disabled American Veterans), is so certain he’s got it made that he’s not even campaigning. It really COULD happen here on Election Night!

So, consider that you've already given as much as you can to change the current course of the Titanic ... oops, I mean the United States of America. What if YOUR $40 contribution was all it took to get those last few voters informed of an alternative to staying the course? No one can see the future, but I hope you will invest further in our future and that of the entire world. It's not too late.

YOU have the power to make this dream a reality, to imagine that we can live in peace, with liberty, justice, medical insurance, and education for all. To help stop the insane theft of our civil rights, to put the brakes on "allowable" torture, to make things that matter a top priority rather than no priority.

Right now, go to www.JeeniForCongress.com to make a contribution and volunteer to make phone calls from your home.

Right now, each one of us can imagine a new America, and make it so!
