I post quite a few articles in this Forum (and in others), but it's just too distressing for me to post as much as I do each day with the ad photo of the abused animal (which was replaced by another photo, but has now returned) in my line of vision. I'm not unsympatheic to the cause the ad represents, but the photo is very distressing to me personally.
I know these ads are beyond DU's control, and I'm not posting to stir things up or start an argument or to make a demand. I know there are good arguments for the effectiveness of such an ad. This is just an FYI to my fellow posters, especially on this page.
When the ad is replaced, I look forward to resuming my posts!

improved after the "Right click solution..." Some ads are over the top and do nothing to motivate those to act in favor of the cause. This is just one example, I fear...
