Voting via the Interenet? |
|
I just completed one of these polls asking me for my opinion about the recent voting process.
Then it asked for my opinion: support, oppose, or not sure about voting processes and one of them about voting via the Internet. I selected not sure. Mostly I wonder how can the privacy and the one person one vote can be assured.
There are too many women who are oppressed, who are expected to, say, vote for the religious wrong candidate. At least in the privacy of the polling booth, they can vote the way they want to.
Is this a valid concern? I suppose that voting by mail or absentee can present the same question.

more likely to be pressured by their spouses than men are. It affects the way they vote.
Not good.
Vote in person, in a private booth.
This is why polls don't always match vote totals.
Mookie, eight years in polling.

3. I think voting should be done sort of like filing ones income tax. We all |
|
have to file, whether it be via mail-in or online. For those without computers, our public libraries. We all have voter registration numbers, that will suffice for ID. This waiting in line for hours is totally uncalled for and encourages voter suppression. Receive your ballot by, let's say October 15, must be mailed in no later than October 31. Same for voting online. All counting both absentee and online should be done by first week of November and announcements made.
Hope I'm not being naive but there has to be a more efficient way.

a black hole. I want PAPER BALLOTS that can be recounted BY HAND should the need arise.

7. You are right, of course. Did not think about it |
|
I take it for granted since I did vote with a paper ballot (which is now among those being counted by hand to assure my vote for Franken..)
