As a protest of the ConservaDems who won primaries, can people protest by changing their |
|
registration from Dem. to something else, at least until the next primary? They can still vote for the DLCer in November (thus, not enabling the puke) but let the party leaders know that business as usual is not acceptable. How else are we to register our unhappiness at (and to) the sell-outs?

1. It depends on the laws in each individual state. |
|
In any state, a citizen can change his voter registration at any time, but most states have a definite period of time between election day and the last day a registration is valid.
It seems a pointless exercise to me.
If you donate money to the Democratic Party, let them know at their next call that your wallet is closed. I donate to a few candidates but no longer donate to the party. I tell them why.

Money, and winning elections. You want them to hear you? Raise money, block money, deliver elections. Those are the choices.

3. Don't contribute to the state party organization. |

I haven't sent a dollar to the NYS party since they defeated an out-of-Iraq resolution at their state convention about 4 years ago.
I send that $$ to progressive causes or DEM caucuses... like PDA.
