(MYFOX NATIONAL) - Members of the House of Representatives have introduced a resolution seeking to declare 2010 as "The Year of the Bible."

The bill was introduced last week by Rep. Paul Broun , a Republican from Georgia, and co-sponsored by 13 other Republicans ...

Daily Kos .. asked, "Why are these 14 Congresscritters wasting their time with silly stuff like this when we've occupied 2 foreign countries and our economy is in the tank?"

5. Fuck the Rs and fuck the Bible.
There. I said what everybody is thinking.

Q. What do Republicant policies have in common with the Bible?

A. They're both based entirely on myths.

Why, to put the WH on the "wrong side" of a piece of useless legislation just in time for election season!

What was that about "clinging to their gods and their guns"?

7. 2010?
What were the years 1994-2006 all about?

For six years the GOP owned the Congress, White House, Supreme Court, and media and they didn't do jackshit for their religiously insane: No anti-abortion amendment, no amendment banning same-sex marriages, no vouchers for religious schools, no 10 commandments on public buildings, etc.

Now they want a Year of the Bible?

10. Because it's an election year, that's why.
2010 is a congressional election year. The GOP will make sure to point out
any and every congressman running for re-election who does not support
making 2010 "the year of the bible".

11. It's important that the GOP flaunts the constitution. They must uphold their principles.
