These Libertarian guys are funny. They want to swarm some low population state and take it over.

The Free State Project is a plan in which 20,000 or more liberty-oriented people will move to a single state of the U.S., where they may work within the political system to reduce the size and scope of government. The success of the Free State Project would likely entail reductions in burdensome taxation and regulation, reforms in state and local law, an end to federal mandates, and a restoration of constitutional federalism, demonstrating the benefits of liberty to the rest of the nation and the world.

Cool maybe they'll screw up one state and leave the rest of them alone. To bad people live there.

3. Idiots
Libertarians have the some conception of "liberty" as Republicans - do what you want and screw everyone else, but if you don't live like a saint dont expect any help from society! Real freedom only comes when you have a compassionate welfare system to help people exercise their freedoms properly and not have to suffer negative consequences.

4. New Hampshire?
People from Massachusetts already called New Hampshire the "live free tax free or die state". The souther and most populous part of New Hampshire had been and ex-urb of Boston for decades. The people who did not want to play Massachusetts income taxes and car insurance started moving there in the 1970s. I haven't been to New Hampshire since the 1990s, but back then there were get revenue form state liquor stores, instead of income tax. The liquor stores are located on the interstate rest stops. It's already a state with few regulations. I don't see what they can hope to accomplish there. Maybe influence the primaries in 2012? I thought I remember these nutters announcing they where moving some where else a couple of years ago -- to Texas maybe?

5. There was a Socialist State Project a hundred years ago
I believe it was supposed to be somewhere in the wild West, which sounds a bit unexpected, but at least they would have open land to work with instead of having to expropriate it from established capitalists.
