A question about CFL light bulbs. |
|
Can they be used in a range hood light over the stove? I want to replace the last incandescent/Edison bulb that I have.
Ok, 2 questions... Can the light bulb in the oven be replaced with either CFL bulbs or LED bulbs? Is there any special kind of bulb for use near ovens and stoves?
Hey, I managed to limit my curiosity to 3 questions. That's a first. :D

I have had one in the range hood for several years, no problems that I am aware of.

I used an original type CFL in my range hood for over 10 years till I moved. Never a problem
The light bulb IN the oven is a special bulb designed to take the heat. CFL's and LED would be destroyed the first time you used the oven.
