Do you think the US will launch an attack on Iran in the near future?

The Russians indicate their intelligence predicts an attack early in April, I think it is the 2nd or the 6th.

Personally, I don't think so. It would be too senseless even for Bush, in my view. So what is the purpose of our current pressure being exerted on Iran by sending multiple carrier groups to the area and carrying out aggressive naval maneuvers? It makes no real sense. It seems like the administration thinks this is a "response" to alleged Iranian involvement in Iraq. But the strategic point of this response cannot be discerned.
