|
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fC2iu3CTPcThe gun control laws in New Jersey are precisely the kinds of hoops that many hop lops would like to see be universal. Watch this video and see how absurd gun control can really be.

and those that would like to infringe on my Constitutional rights--as in your case.

21. I consider myself a participant in democracy |
|
That does not make it biased or disingenuous for me to advocate democracy or the dismantling of those things that impede its practice.

4. that may be true of you |
|
but not true of Brady and company. Most of the leaders in the gun control movement stated they want prohibition or regulations absurdly unreasonable like NYC, DC and Chicago.

5. I think I like a gun license like a driver's license. |
|
Answer a few questions, shoot up a few targets to show safe handling...get a license. Then I can decide to buy whatever gun I want anytime I want and carry it anywhere in the nation.
Pretty cool!

7. What you fail to understand |
|
is that driving is a PRIVILEGE, granted by the state to those it deems qualified, according to standards and testing set at the discretion of legislators and officers of the state. In contrast, buying, possessing, and carrying a firearm is a RIGHT, an extension of a Natural Right that existed before the founding of this country, officially recognized in the Bill of Rights. It is a fundamental freedom that separates us from most of the rest of the world.
A RIGHT is not something subject to licensure, qualification, taxation, or other types of restriction designed to stifle the free exercise thereof. A black man in Alabama has as much of a RIGHT to carry a handgun with which to defend his own life as any white people, and shouldn't be subjected to some cockamamy "poll tax" scheme like a "gun test". Such a test would probably be designed specifically for black people to fail, just so they could be denied their right to be armed.
Should we have a "voter test" too? How about a "4th Amendment test" when the cops show up at your door, and if you pass it they won't kick your teeth in and enter without a warrant? Maybe a "speedy trials test" that will keep you from being locked up for 5 years waiting for trial?
If not, why is any other RIGHT somehow different?

14. I've taken to using the term "pro-restrictionists".... |
|
as it is accurately descriptive without ascribing any particular motive that may be highly subjective.
That's not to say I don't have sub-catagories ready at hand....

states that have a long reputation as homes of organized crime rings.
I wonder is this is just a coincidence.
