Keep making sh#& up Issa, the NRA and it's zombies love ya!
"U.S. Representative Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said there was evidence of a possible third weapon"

Yea right. Bang that dead horse some you idiot.

"“The FBI has made clear that reports of a third gun recovered from the perpetrators at the scene of Agent Terry’s murder are false,” said Tracy Schmaler, a Justice Department spokeswoman" http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-10-17/justice-department-denies-lawmaker-s-fast-and-furious-claim.html

Now we know, the NRA has it's hand up Issa's ass and pulls the strings that makes him talk. Glad this came out, it really shows what a joke this investigation really is. 2 guns out of 2000. Those 2000 lead to the arrest of some very bad people. Anecdotal? 2 out of 2000. You know what I'm talking about. This investigation is actually helping criminals, the NRA, through their hand puppet Isaa, is actually stopping great police work. 2 out of 2000.

3. and the Brady zombies don't care
as long as it is dead Mexicans, and the pot and coke heads don't care how much carnage they pay for as long as they have the NRA to scapegoat.
“The FBI has made clear that reports of a third gun recovered from the perpetrators at the scene of Agent Terry’s murder are false,” said Tracy Schmaler, a Justice Department spokeswoman"

so what? Two, three, it still does not change the fact that US, Mexican, and international laws were violated by the ATF. They had no way of tracking them. Now if it were any other agency than the ATF, you could be calling the Justice Department spokesperson a lying sack of shit.

Glad this came out, it really shows what a joke this investigation really is. 2 guns out of 2000. Those 2000 lead to the arrest of some very bad people. Anecdotal? 2 out of 2000.

What people are those? The guns lead to nothing. They were not tracked going into Mexico.

Anecdotal? 2 out of 2000. You know what I'm talking about. This investigation is actually helping criminals, the NRA, through their hand puppet Isaa, is actually stopping great police work. 2 out of 2000.

If you call this half assed stunt police work, what is stupidity? From the top, The ATF had no way of tracking them, they did not tell Mexican authorities, the ATF has no jurisdiction in Mexico.

You know what I'm talking about

Do you? Do you even understand what this is about? The fact that any of them went across the border without the blessing of the Mexican government is a crime.

4. Demonstrate the methods the ATF had in place to track the guns....
Edited on Mon Oct-17-11 08:36 PM by PavePusher
and their agreement to do so with the Mexican authorities, and you'll have a pretty convincing talking point.

Until then, I really don't care who pushes the investigation, as long as the ATF house gets cleaned and put in order so as to cease violating a foreign nations' sovereignity and stops violating internal U.S. Civil Rights, laws and well-established law enforcement procedures.

P.S. "This investigation is actually helping criminals, the NRA..."??? I don't recall that the NRA gave guns to criminals, speaking of making shit up...

then ATF ought to know where the other ~1,998 are, right? Do they? Do you?

7. Apparently you didnt get the memo
Or perhaps the honorable Mr Cummings could have been more plain . Considering the gravity of the situation and the aptitude of his target demographic , I see quite the uphill battle and so I am here to help .

To reiterate :

The only agents who did wrong, warranting chief counsel’s cognizance and internal affairs investigations, and management retaliation/disciplinary actions/termination proceedings, were the whistle blowers........... and a used car dealer from Corpus .

CBS seems to do much of the reporting on the Fast and Furious scandal.

11. *snort*
Heres a video for you to watch, mike.

You'll find the portion that starts at the 2:15 mark enlightening:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c5gzcM7EHM

And then theres this:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7384914n

In case you can't bring yourself to watch:

"When agents who were at Brian Terry's funeral made statements to his mother indicating that there were three weapons ... then you look and say, well was there a third weapon at the scene?" Issa asked. "Were there additional people who escaped with weapons?"

Also, a ballistics report turned over to Congress mentions just two rifles, saying it "could not be determined" if one of them fired the bullet that killed Terry.

There's also talk of a third weapon, called an "SKS" rifle, in secret recordings obtained by CBS News. In the following partial transcript of a March 2011 conversation, the lead ATF case agent on Fast and Furious is speaking to a gun dealer who cooperated in selling weapons to suspects.

Gun dealer: "There's three weapons."
ATF agent: "There's three weapons."
Dealer: "I know that."
Agent: "And yes, there's serial numbers for all three."
Dealer: "That is correct."
Agent: "Two of them came from the store."
Dealer: "I understand that."
Agent: "There's an SKS that I don't think came from ... Dallas or Texas or something like that."

Nra my ass.

If you're going to try to obfuscate the issue and muddy the waters, you'll have to do a damn sight better than that.

But the agents at the funeral were lieing, right?

And the whistleblowers, they were lieing too, right?

Everyone is lieing except holder, right?

15. "Great police work"? Please tell me you're joking
Even people who assert that Issa is on a "witch hunt," apparently attributing to malice what can be adequately explained by incompetence, acknowledge that "Fast and Furious" was a fairly epic display of incompetence. Even this blog post, which formed the basis of this thread, describes "Fast and Furious" as a "botched operation" and "a serious failure of federal law enforcement."

And personally, I am provisionally inclined towards the view that "Fast and Furious" was simply incompetently handled, rather than some "false flag" operation to justify a renewed ban on so-called "assault weapons." But with a clusterfuck this egregious, I want to see heads roll. I'm also willing to accept that Holder was unaware of goings-on because he'd been kept in the dark by his subordinates, but if so, the appropriate reaction on his part when he learned of this clusterfuck would have been to publicly cause heads to roll, as opposed to try to sweep the mess under the carpet and "remove" those responsible by promoting them.

Look, I know a thing or two about "command responsibility," between having been trained as an NCO and having worked for the Office of The Prosecutor of the ICTY for over three years. To engender loyalty in your subordinates, sometimes you have to cover for them when they screw up. But "covering for your people" is different from "covering up for your people"; it entails taking responsibility for their errors, not trying to pretend the error didn't happen. However, there are limits to your obligation to your subordinates, in that you should only be expected to cover for them for disciplinary offenses, not for offenses that are criminal in nature, whether it be due to malice or criminal negligence. At that point, they have forfeited your loyalty to them, and you're fully justified in throwing them to the wolves.

17. The OP makes no sense.
1. When first asked about the existence of F&F the various DoJ agencies denied the program existed but obviously it does. So if anybody's credibility is in doubt it is their's.

2. Even if the report is false that does not prove it was a lie.

3. Why lie about a 3rd weapon when the 2 F&F weapons recovered at the murder scene are more than damning? What's the pay-off?

4. How does any of what is stated in the article prove a connection to the NRA?

5. It's not just 2:2000 when hundreds of people murdered with weapons illegally supplied by the government.

20. *Hundreds* of guns went to Mexico
Two, maybe three Fast and Furious guns were found at the murder scene of Agent Terry.

But hundreds of F&F firearms were trafficked into Mexico. They have turned up in one of the homes of one of the chieftains of the Sinaloa cartel, who, it has been alleged, the operation was intending to arm all along to counter the Zetas cartel.
