Man with loaded gun arrested in packed restaurant (MI)
http://www.wnem.com/story/15738831/man-with-loaded-gun-arrested-in-packed-restaurant

Deputies arrested a fugitive in a packed restaurant who they say had a loaded gun.

Customers saw the man eating alone and called 911 as they left the Sanford Bar & Grill Tuesday night.

Midland County Deputies arrived minutes later and snuck up on the 57 year-old Edenville Township man.

They asked the suspect if he had any weapons and deputies say the suspect had one unloaded gun but the other still had a few shells left.

4. He will probably get a light slap on the wrist for the illegal loaded gun ...
and a short sentence for resisting and obstructing arrest and receiving and concealing stolen property.

5. That is one reason why I carry a gun when we go out to eat.
There is no way to tell when you might need one.

9. Tip
(with sarcasm) Mix with alcohol, stir or shake, before taking a shot and buying a round for the house.

The presumption that you need a gun to stop a criminal is nonsense and it might result in the inexperienced killing innocent people.

12. I don't drink alcohol.
It is extremely rare for a CCW person to kill an innocent. In fact, you have about a 30 times greater chance of getting struck by lightning than of being illegally shot by a CCWer.

10. That's Right
...customers saw a man doing what you do and called the cops.

Works for me.

6. Thanks Jpak. Totally reinforcing the reason I carry in public.
You never know when the next guy at the lunch counter might be a fugitive with a gun or two.

11. Concerned Citizens Saw a Man with a Gun
...and called cops.

See what law abiding citizens can do WITHOUT guns.

14. or even with guns
the idea behind CCW is for your protection, that is all. You seem to be under the mistaken impression that it has something to do with being deputized (which it is not) or making citizens arrests, which it is not. If you are not under that mistaken impression, your post had no point.

8. A "fugitive"?
You mean a criminal doing criminal things? How absurd...

I guess you are going to say that guns shouldn't be allowed in restaurants? How about criminals shouldn't be allowed in restaurants.

Unrec for the usual reasons.
