Netanyahu orders evacuation of Israel embassy in Jordan, fearing violent protests
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman ordered the early evacuation of Israel's embassy in Jordan on Wednesday, over fears of violent anti-Israel protests similar to those which erupted in Cairo last week.

Protocol stipulates that all employees return to Israel every weekend, with the exclusion of one diplomatic representative as well as a security team.

On Wednesday, however, it was affirmed that Israel had decided to vacate its Jordanian embassy a day earlier than schedule, following fears of violent protests outside the embassy building, expected to take place on Thursday and throughout the weekend.

Netanyahu and Lieberman's decision to vacate the Israeli embassy came following last week's tumultuous anti-Israel protests in Cairo, which culminated in protesters breaking into the embassy building.

1. Just to make sure, he should order the evacuation of the West Bank by settlers.

2. The Palestinians will simply find another pretext for violence.
RoR or Jerusalem most likely.

4. They need not look far
When Israeli policy insists on providing them with so many inevitable "pretexts". There's a very good reason why Israeli embassies are held in such low regard all across the region.

5. Of course a long history of anti-semitism has nothing to do
with how the Arabs hold Israeli embassies in such low regard.

6. Phrasing!
This is DU -- antisemitism as a concept doesn't exist. It's only perfectly understandable and justifiable anti-Israeli government policy rhetoric that embassy attackers are displaying.

8. In order to believe what you believe
You would have to ignore decades upon decades of Israeli aggression and brutality against not only Jordan but just about every non-Zionist entity in the entire region. Seems like that's what you're determined to do.

11. So 48, 67 and 73 were Israeli aggression?
Do you realize that in 1967 the Israelis begged Jordan not to join the war - King Hussein replied that it was too late, "the die was cast". The Jordanians then attacked Israel.

and nothing to do with anti-Semitism. How many statements from Arab voices that their quarrel is not with Jews but with the Zionist state do you need? Oh, I forgot, Arabs are to be (rarely) seen and not heard in Israel's settler-state setup.

10. So 48, 67, 73 and all the terrorist attacks
were Israel's fault? That the Arabs would not have launched wars of annihilation if those bad jews had just behaved themselves? Pull the other one!

Lets not forget one simple thing - in 1948 the Palestinians had the chance for a state. They chose war instead.

9. Somewhat misleading headline
As the article notes, the embassy employees always return to Israel every weekend - they are just returning one day early this weekend (Thursday rather than Friday).

The skeletal embassy staff will remain in place as per usual.

And the rest of the staff is expected to return on Sunday.
