Manhunt Underway for Terrorist Who Stabbed Jerusalem Teen
Israel Police and IDF soldiers have joined forces to hunt in the Arab village of Beit Iksa for the terrorist who stabbed 17-year-old Yehuda Ne'emad in Jerusalem's Ramot neighborhood Saturday afternoon. A house-by-house search for the suspect was underway in the village, which is located barely a half kilometer from the Ramot neighborhood. It is believed the attacker fled there after the attack.

Israel Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld told Arutz Sheva Saturday night that it is believed a lone suspect attacked Ne'emad, stabbing him in the abdomen and back. Reports of a vehicle in the area just before the attack are being investigated as well.

Ne'emad, who suffered serious wounds, was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center after initial treatment at the scene from Magen David Adom emergency response medics. He was listed in fair condition following surgery, although he is sedated and is on a respirator.

"Investigators searched the nearby village, Beit Iksa, and around the area," Rosenfeld said, "and are continuing to search for the attacker."

Can you explain that?

He was a terrorist who murdered a small child. In this OP someone stabbed another person, which is a crime, not an act of political violence. You still haven't answered the question I asked you. Why is it that crimes committed by Arabs are labelled terrorism?

11. Answering a question is 'arguing'?? LOL....
For the record, slapping the label of terrorist on any Arab who commits a crime reeks of bigotry, imo. Terrorism isn't defined by the ethnicity of a person, but by the political ideology that motivates and drives their violence.

If yr acquainted with folk who think Kuntar isn't a terrorist, then you should really be more careful about who you hang out with :)

13. I'm virtually certain that if the same crime had been committed by a Jew against an Arab
that the perpetrator would have been referred to as an "assailant". That is, if anyone even bothered to cover the incident.

Deputy Knesset Speaker (Likud) MK Danny Danon called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Saturday night to destroy the homes of terrorists who are caught and convicted of their crimes.

The lone "terrorist" will be caught and convicted of "terrorism". Shortly afterwords his parent's family home will be bulldozed, razed, to the ground. Now if something similar happened in the USA: A young black man stabs a white man. The black man is hunted down, jailed, convicted of terrorism, and as further punishment, to keep his kind in line, the judge orders that the young man's parent's home to be destroyed, as a lesson of course to other black families to keep their young men from committing "terrorism".

Feel free to substitute any ethnic group for either black or white. Is this the sort of justice we want? Will it really prevent terrorism or will it lead to more terrorism?

An initial investigation indicated that the attacker was an Arab man who fled from the scene of the crime and ran through the Ramot forest toward the village of Beit Iksa. Police have determined that the attack had nationalist motives.

After court convicts Arutz-7 of illegal broadcasting, station goes off air
By Ellis Shuman October 21, 2003

Ten managers, directors and broadcasters of Arutz-7, the right-wing pirate radio station, were convicted by a Jerusalem court on Monday of illegal broadcasting. Following the court decision, Arutz-7 went off the air until further notice, but its broadcasts and reporting will continue on the Internet. The court ruling came one day after the government lent its support to a proposed law that would fine advertisers on pirate radio stations.

22. Interesting stuff, reminds me of a movie
The Boat That Rocked (retitled Pirate Radio in North America) is a 2009 British comedy film written and directed by Richard Curtis, with pirate radio in the United Kingdom during the 1960s as its setting. The film has an ensemble cast featuring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, Nick Frost, and Kenneth Branagh. Set in 1966, it tells the story of the fictitious pirate radio station "Radio Rock" and its crew of eclectic disc jockeys, who broadcast rock and pop music to the United Kingdom from a ship anchored in the North Sea while the British government endeavors to shut them down. It was produced by Working Title Films for Universal Pictures, and was filmed on the Isle of Portland and at Shepperton Studios.

The film opened 1 April 2009 and was a commercial failure at the British box office, making only GB£6.1 million in its first twelve weeks, less than a quarter of its over £30 million production cost. It received mixed reviews, with most criticism directed at its muddled storyline and 2¼-hour length. For its North American release it was re-edited to trim its running time by twenty minutes, and retitled Pirate Radio. Opening 13 November 2009, Pirate Radio was still commercially unsuccessful, earning only about US$8 million (approximately £5 million).

In 1966, numerous pirate radio stations broadcast to the United Kingdom from ships anchored in international waters, specialising in rock and pop music that is not played on BBC Radio. Seventeen year-old Carl (Tom Sturridge), recently expelled from school, is sent to stay with his godfather Quentin (Bill Nighy), who runs the station "Radio Rock" anchored in the North Sea. The eclectic crew of disc jockeys and staffers, led by brash American DJ "The Count" (Philip Seymour Hoffman), quickly accept Carl as one of their own. "Doctor" Dave (Nick Frost) attempts to help him lose his virginity, but the plan goes awry and results in embarrassment for Carl.

24. Arutz Sheva is clearly not a fan of terrorism

Last week the IDF's Kfir Brigade foiled an attempted stabbing attack at the Gush Etzion junction by a young Palestinian Authority Arab woman.

The would-be stabber raced towards the bus stop, pulling out a knife and shouted, "Allahu Akbar" (G-d is Great) and "Death to the Jews!"

25. They are a fan of Israeli settlers. The Palestinians are for the most part, "terrorists"
to the people behind this publication.

The process used toward Palestinians, as documented:

Still the same Shin Bet

The 1980s are over, and yet the torture continues to this day - as does the culture that permits lying to judges and to the public in the name of 'security.'

By Ishai Menuchin

The disclosure of transcripts from clandestine meetings held in March 1986, between three high-ranking Shin Bet security-service officials and then-Attorney General Yitzhak Zamir (reported by Gidi Weitz in Haaretz English Edition on September 27 ), has brought the story of the Bus 300 affair back into the headlines.

Over 27 years have passed since Shin Bet officer Ehud Yatom murdered the two terrorists who hijacked the bus. He subsequently confessed, in an interview with Yedioth Ahronoth (which he later disavowed), that, "On the way, I received an order from Avraham Shalom to kill the men, so I killed them." With the refutation of the official version of events, the publication of a photo of one of the terrorists while still alive, and the rumors about the manner in which the Shin Bet operates, a systematic cover-up of the murder was put into place. This effort succeeded in pulling the wool over the eyes of two investigative committees (led by Meir Zorea and Yona Baltman, respectively ) that attempted to study the circumstances of the deaths of the hijacker terrorists.

Once the cover story was blown, it emerged that some of the witnesses who were subpoenaed by the committees asserted that the "liquidation" and the false testimony were carried out in accordance with norms, according to which the Shin Bet often tortured suspects under interrogation and then systematically denied that behavior in the courts.

When stories about false testimony, attempts to deceive the committees and other deviant Shin Bet activities became public knowledge, there was a loud outcry. However, Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin (the prime minister and defense minister, respectively, in 1986 ) and Yitzhak Shamir (prime minister at the time of the murders ) elected to protect the Shin Bet officials, and Zamir, the attorney general who wished to investigate the affair, was dismissed. Immunity and presidential pardons prior to trial were also arranged for those who participated in the murder and the false testimony.

The documentation you've been provided is not an ad hominen attack, despite your attempts at the suggestion.

snip* The ad hominem is normally described as a logical fallacy,<2><3><4> but it is not always fallacious; in some instances, questions of personal conduct, character, motives, etc., are legitimate and relevant to the issue.<5>

Telling me it's a RW rag doesn't say whether or not you* have a problem with it. And given it's extreme bigotry against Arabs and Muslims, it's interesting that you merely describe it as a RW rag (which is something that garden variety ones like JPost could be described as), and don't say anything about it's extreme bigotry and hatred. If its hatred was aimed at Jews, for example, you definately would have been pointing it out...

* I recall in the past that you have said you don't have problems with RW sources...

36. Your dislike of someone is not a testament to their character
The reason why an Ad Hominem is a fallacy is that the character, circumstances, or actions of a person do not (in most cases) have a bearing on the truth or falsity of the claim being made (or the quality of the argument being made). Your repeated bellyaching about this particular news organization has introduced no substantive argument that assails their conduct or character.

Arutz Sheva, as Jefferson has pointed out, is a settler publication that holds the view that for something to be terrorism, it has to be carried out by an Arab, and that crimes committed by Arabs (eg stabbings, robberies, etc) are terrorism because it was done by an Arab. It's an extremely bigoted source...
