'Keep Gaza lull, or Israel will attack'
A top Egyptian official on Saturday called on Palestinian factions in Gaza to maintain the lull with Israel, and warned that further escalation and rocket fire toward Israeli cities could prompt a military operation in the Strip.

Speaking to London-based al Hayat paper, the official said: "We cannot continue pushing the Israeli side and prevent it from striking Gaza, especially when the other Palestinian factions are not committed to keeping the lull."

2. Be interesting what form it takes
One key aspect of OCL is that Hamas was thoroughly penetrated. The IDF knew where things were stored, timetables, schedules, names etc. They took advantage of that to decimate Hamas leadership and material. This lesson was not lost on Hamas who rachted up the paranoia and security up tremendously.

If Israel decided to attack Hamas again, it will be interesting to see if they go that route again, which would indicate that they are still fully penetrated, or perhaps a decapitation strike including Hamas leadership not in Gaza.

4. Actually they do
Some of the Hamas leaders on the ground in Gaza that survived the initial strikes went on to lead and die for their cause. I respect the integrity that represents. Much of the Hamas cadre died and those that survived are very concerned about their security.

Then there are those who hid in Damascus and elsewhere behind both private and Government provided security. They rabble rouse from a position of safety and it is those who need to go.
