Kissinger, who served as the United States National Security Advisor and later as Secretary of State in the administrations of Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, had demanded to divide the Sinai Peninsula into "security zones" prior to the Yom Kippur War in 1973.

According to the secret documents released by the State Department, back in 1972 Kissinger wished to put economic and ethical pressure on Israel, calling American Jewish groups lobbying the Nixon White House self-serving "bastards."

The files also show that Russia had claimed the "Arabs" were willing to recognize the State of Israel at that time."

What about people who work for big banks say as a teller, should they be judged also?

What about people who work for phillip morris or RJR, should we scorn them because of where they work?

any lobbyist is self serving and yes that wold apply to someone lobbying for the Cancer Society too now as to whether or not they're bastards is up too the individual I repeated "bastards" because it was part of Kissinger's quote

a bank teller is a low level employee and no more an actual "lobbyist" than a supermarket cashier or the person who takes your order at McDonalds, that being said your attempt to water down the defination of "lobbyist" to meet your needs is noted

whether or not the lobbyist for Philip Morris or R J Reynolds deserve scorn is up to the individual, what about lobbyists for Genentech or Aventis?

Lobbyists who are not self serving are not doing their job. Most lobbyists, including those for the Cancer Society and other such groups, are hired gun professionals who usually are representing the group as a job not as a passionate believer. Most have also been previously employed by the government or elected to office at one time. I also have a hunch that tenacious bastards make for a more effective lobbyist.
