Hate to say it, because i met him and liked his views but anyone that would take that sort of stuff from the swift boats and lose a state like OHIO, pretty much sucks. He stuck us with Tipsy McDumbass. The story wasnt even a story but the one thing i like about it is that it takes him out of 08, thank god, that way there will be more money for people I like, Fiengold, edwards, clark. Goodbye Johnny

may see that Kerry's response to this has caused at least some of the media to revolt against swifboating. There was some of that with the raction to Clinton's Fox blow up, but nowere as direct. You have the NYT(among others) with a lead editorial saying that this was a "low" act and really calling him on it. When was the last time any of the papers expressed disgust about the excess smearing which is the Republican norm.
Remember in 2004, that the media didn't even object to Republican delegates wearing purple heart band aids - they simply photographed them. This in effect almost sent a message that they were socially acceptable. That was what Kerry was up against in 2004. I seriously doubt that Feingold, Edwards or Clark would have handled the smearing better. Not because I don't respect them, I do,but because this was a very stacked deck.
Kerry called them out on it - and it looks like they are losing.

If you think that the GOP and the MSM wouldn't "swiftboat" any candidate running for President, then I'd say enjoy your sophmoric innocence while it lasts. As for Kerry "losing" in Ohio, do some homework on that. You might be surprised in what you might find if you seek out knowledge.
Oh, and Rove's attempt to distort Kerry's statement did not and will not stop Kerry from running in 2008. I certainly plan on backing and working for him. Choose whoever you want and we'll see you in the streets...

5. Kerry won. DNC lost Ohio like they lost Florida - by not securing voting |
|
process and not countering the four years of tactics by the RNC to suppress the vote, purge voter rolls and rig machines all over the country.
Blame Kerry for not being in charge of the DNC for four years where the election was ACTUALLY lost.
Blame McAuliffe if you want to be real.

6. Not so fast, looks like Kerry is making a bit of come back. |
|
Maybe, it could have something to do with the fact that he was swift boated in 04 and people now realize they were bamboozled by Rove and company. You know, Kerry didn't lose as much as he didn't win because of the fear and smear tactics of this administration. You want to blame someone for us being stuck with Bush, blame Rove, the Republican kool aid drinkers and the media shrills who promoted him and helped in depressing Kerry's message. I intend to continue to give him my support. I think he offers a lot more than the others you mentioned.
