Sting: Obama Best Person to Handle World's 'Mess
NEW YORK (AP) -- Sting isn't a religious man, but he says President Barack Obama might be a divine answer to the world's problems.

In an interview, he jokes that Obama was ''sent from God,'' but in a serious tone, he also said that Obama was the best person to handle the world's ''mess.''

The English-born Sting says he's fascinated by American politics and those opposed to Obama. He says Obama's opponents are ''aggressive and violent and full of fear.''

3. 6 % degrees of Sting..
My friend's daughter married her husband at Sting's Villa in Tuscony.:)

It's great to have supporters like Sting when there's people out there like Angelina's Jolie's dad who doesn't know shite.

6. And in Related News... Mr. Ed states publicly his support for increased troops in Afghanistan
and The Great Pumpkin reveals incontrovertible evidence of the existence of alien lifeforms being kept alive in Area 51...

Film at eleven.

8. I'm glad to hear that: Mr. Ed hasn't been in the news much since he died in 1970,
and so a lot of us haven't known what we should think about various issues

10. I frankly don't give a shit what a British pop star thinks of our President. This OP wins the
weirdest link ever award.

Maybe we'll see a missive from Miley Cirus next week.

12. Excuse me, rvablue... but I must ask
WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU CONTRIBUTED???

Music is a powerful language with or without words. Sting has used his high profile to fight for the environment. In his decades long travels he has been exposed to points of view from all over the planet, matured and has used that knowledge in the best way he knows possible. WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU to diss those who have been exposed to such an education AND have the intelligence and desire to share their hard-won perspectives? Just asking.

15. I've had fun playing with people's ASSumptions throughout the years
They ASSumed that I, as a musician, had no grasp of whatever the "real issues" were. That in the wonderful opportunities I have had to engage with SO MANY around the world, my understanding could NOT have been enhanced, my horizons broadened in ways they could NEVER EVEN IMAGINE. That my PERSONAL INTERESTS could not possibly include educated, detailed knowledge about THEIR "bidness."

After I sliced and diced a client (this asshole worked my LAST NERVE at a gathering, I did everything to change the subject, others tried to intervene but he would not let it go and ended up in a heaping mass of misdirected testosterone on the floor for all to see) he REQUESTED ME as a trainer saying to my boss, "You told me she was a musician..."

 You're RIGHT dude! I'm "just" a musician.

13. I disagree with Sting. No one person is capable of handling the world's mess
all of us working together in harmony can do that. :)

Having said that...I love me some Sting.
