Obama strokes house members-praises them for almost doing the job |
|
that should have been done 50 years ago. Obama has evidently studied child psychology to deal so effectively with members of Congress, telling them that this bill will define their place in history. Next to cash, sex with pages and alcohol, politicians LOVE being praised in public and told they are really better people than those of us who merely voted for them. I recently read a comment stating that if a member oc congress were caught in public having sex with a sheep, another member would surely praise him for being an animal lover. I don't know how people can have respect for these people. I will admit there are good ones, but they are very thin on the ground.
Just my thoughts on this process.

1. Well, the House actually did its job. I am sure they will spend the next |
|
week or so congratulating themselves.

2. Whatever it takes to pass what has been put together, I'll do...... |

I'm that concerned that we change the status quo.
It is obvious that stroking ego is a part of the deal. It appears that Obama will do what it takes. I'm glad of that. :)

3. I'm very glad it passed - I am just disgusted by the politicians thinking |
|
they really worked hard.
My dad hung out with regional pols when I was growing up, often beinging them to our home and I have a lifelong disgust with them as people.
I am amazed, really, that the thing passed at all, and I hope the Republicans are apalled. That always makes everything worthwhile.
The bill seems to be a good start.
