Seriously, though, we have big expectations here and it would be impossible not to have them crushed from time to time. That said, I do think we need to hold the administration and COngressional leadership's feet to the fire.

Are there cheerleaders here beyond those called that each and every day, by detractors of the Obama Administration?
If people like you rationalize that Obama can be criticized for his bad policies, his feet held to the fire sorta speak, then why can't Kucinich and Big Ed's feet be held to fire also? What makes them special.....? because they get to talk more than they get to act?
How shitty.

Ed Schultz fucking sucks. Always has.
Just loud mouth cable news trash on par with Nancy Grace and the guy who does the stock market with all the sound effects.
As for Kucinich, every liberal in congress is supporting HCR except for him.
And you're upset that we don't like Kucinich? Looks like you're the one interested in blind support.

20. You can be part of the solution, or ... |
|
You can sit on your pedestal pontificating. And then you might as well be part of the problem.
It's good to goad ... but only up to a point. Because the line between goading and obstruction is a very fine one. True liberal legislators, like say, Anthony Weiner, know when to push and when to back off in the interest of actually getting something done. Something not perfect ... but perhaps perfecatble.
I sense a lot of people here would have opposed Social Security legislation back in Roosevelt's day, because not only was it imperfect, it was downright dastardly in some ways. But it was the toe in the door, and it was continually improved until it became the bedrock of progressive legislation.
So yeah, people like Kucinich and Big Ed get my goat. They are not helping anything, except themselves.

He even wanted to run for a seat as a Republican.
Anyone who has ever been associated with a financial services company is evil and can never be redeemed, but former Republican and now angry ranter, Ed Schultz, is a God and the bastion of liberalism. Uh huh.

23. And they are doing it under the guise of "holding feet to fire" |
|
or "criticism," though I've seen a lot of epithets like "St. Kucinich" or pictures of Keebler Elfs, which are simply ad hominem. Much like a certain person on this thread who said that Krugman looked like a rat, once.

26. 215 people voted against this bill |
|
176 Republicans 38 conservative Democrats (in name only) and Dennis Kucinich
Now... I ask you... are the 214 Nay votes that AREN'T from Dennis the "bad guys"?
If they aren't, then you're at the wrong site.
Now.... if those 214 are bad guys, and I think we can agree they are.... then what is Dennis when he votes with them?
Judge him by his actions. He voted the same way that John Boehner voted. That makes him the enemy on this issue.

36. Burden of proof is on those making the claim. I haven't seen one of "blind support" |
|
despite the numerous, numerous claims.
I do find it ironic that those who would deride others as thinking the President is a "Messiah" or "The One" are those who seem most to expect that he have so much the nation's shit together in ridiculously short order.

Democrat overboard for Kucinich. A week ago: Money Bomb for Grayson! Grayson 2012! Today: FUCK HIM! ONLY DENNIS IS RIGHT!
They happily criticize Lieberman for saying he can't vote for the bill because of his conscience. But Kucinich makes the exact same argument and he's principled.
