Apparently, "Shane From Centerpoint" has passed away

I just saw this on a blog. It says that Shane died about 7:30 last night.

It was after what can only be described as a brief battle with cancer.

Normally, I would not post such a declaration based on a blog post.

But slightly earlier in the day, Paul Finebaum said he had talked to Shane's wife, Jackie, who described the situation as "grave."

I'm not including a direct link to the blog post, because I thought it was in bad taste... even though it is a pro-Bama blog.

I never in my life met Shane, but I feel like I knew him. I heard him just about everyday.

I don't know much about Shane's personal life. I don't know how old he was or anything.

Damn, I need to quit smoking.
