Here is the press release. If by chance you know of any compassionate people in Yuma County, please contact them accordingly. My wife rocks.

***************************************************
The Animal Defenders of Yuma, an animal rights group, will be hosting their first meeting on Thursday evening, September 29, at 7:00 P.M. at Java Oasis, 1400 S. 4th Ave. The meeting is open to all members of the public, and will include an introduction to animal rights issues and a discussion of future campaigns.

Future campaigns include collecting signatures for a 2006 ballot initiative to ban cruel gestation and veal crates, promoting a vegetarian lifestyle through public education, and compiling a list of vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Yuma.

The mission of Animal Defenders of Yuma is to defend the right of all animals to live free of the suffering caused by exploitation, abuse, and neglect, and to promote these rights through community awareness.

For more information, please check out our website at www.yumaanimals.com, or email Tammy at yumaanimals@gmail.com.
