nothing much going on here? ok, I'll complain about the phx public library |
|
went looking for 6 books. came out with none. the matches I did get were either for books on tape, or books that were at other libraries, lent out.
and I'm talking the big one downtown. it's hard for me to think about how many books they have in there, but at the same time how none of them are ones I need.

9. Lots of reasons for this--but I understand your frustration, believe me. |
|
But I'd need more specs before I can say what the specific problem is.
OTOH, whenever you don't find what you want. place a hold on it--it can really influence buying decisions.
Wtch for my PM.

4. Be kind. Libraries are soooo underfunded these days |
|
They really get a crap deal from all ends and these people really seem to care (many are volunteers).
I know that the Mesa library has had to cut back their services and hours recently. For the most part libraries are doing what they can. They are always horribly short on books they would like to buy and are always grateful for donations.
