1. My Bush-Cheney hating mother-in-law was considering taking a closer look at Whitman

and maybe voting for her. That was before yesterday.

She called us yesterday and said that she will never ever vote for that woman. She got one of those automated phone calls with Cheney endorsing Whitman and it was definitely the kiss of death.

2. They must be feeling some heat from Poizner
if they're that desperate to shore Meg-abuck$ up with the red-meat repuke base.

3. Well, that ringing endorsement will firm-up the shrinking Whitman base
Whitman was way ahead months ago, but with Poizner's attack ads (Meg's abysmal voting record and close Goldman Sachs connections) has closed the primary race to a statistical tie. That being said, Poizner will be easier to defeat in the general election, so as Martha Stewart says, "It's a good thing".

4. The sad part is
I've disliked Whitman so much for so long now, this doesn't shift my opinion at all. I am dead-set on seeing that she doesn't claim the governorship.

5. Condi and Mitt too.
I saw a tv commercial with Condi Rice and Mitt Romney shilling for Meg Whitman. Now Cheney? sheesh. please no.
